what to expect:

This evening features the world premiere of The City Asleep in His Throat, a newly commissioned work by composer Bushra El-Turk and choreographer Eukene Sagues.

Bushra El-Turk has been recognized by the BBC as one of the 100 most inspiring women of today, with her compositions performed by leading orchestras worldwide. Eukene Sagues is gaining prominence in the dance world, with her works showcased at the Royal Danish Theatre and recently at London’s Royal Opera House.

This unique piece combines a quartet for two musicians and dancers, exploring the intriguing convergence of music and dance. What does it look like, how does it sound, and what does it mean when dancers and musicians come together as one ensemble?

The evening concludes with the Danish premiere of Dora Pejacevic’s stunning Piano Quintet.

Join us on August 8 to experience it all for yourself. We look forward to seeing you!
