Emma Gibout
Violin
Emma is concertmaster of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, and first prize winner at the Arthur Grumiaux Competition. She has played at Equinox Festival since 2023.

Emma is a French violinist who studied in Lyon with Marianne Piketty for her bachelor's degree and then at the Hanns Eisler für Musik in Berlin in the class of Ulf Wallin for her master's degree. She is particularly passionate about chamber music and has collaborated with artists such as Françoise Gneri, Emmanuelle Bertrand and Gilles Apap, as well as her colleagues in the Fractales collective. Since 2021, Emma has been concertmaster of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, and has played as guest concertmaster in other renowned orchestras. In 2018, she won first prize at the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition in Belgium.
