Ramsey Harvard plays double bass in the Royal Danish Orchestra, and is formerly a member of South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Philharmonic. He has been a part of Equinox Festival since the very beginning, in 2018.

Ramsey Harvard is a member of the Royal Danish Orchestra and former member of the Kwa-Zulu Philharmonic in Durban, South Africa.
In addition to Equinox Chamber Music Festival he also performs regularly at the Royal Danish Orchestra’s chamber music series, as well as with other chamber music groups and festivals in Denmark.
An avid fan of new music, Ramsey has played in and toured with various new music ensembles in the United States, Europe, and Africa. He attended the Peabody Institute and Boston University, where he studied primarily with Paul Johnson and Edwin Barker.
