Welcome note, 2023

Welcome to this year's edition of Equinox.

We have enjoyed another year of hunting for pieces, creating new choreography, and bringing people together to share in this special project.

This year we have focused again on creating a gender-balanced program which demonstrates a refreshed possibility of what classical music can look like: approachable, inclusive, and with its feet in the present.

Many of the works on the program haven't been heard in Denmark before, and this year we also celebrate our very first world premiere - hopefully one of many more to come.

Music and movement belong to each other, and dance continues to be at the heart of our Festival - look forward to magical and intimate moments from five new choreographies by artists from our own ensemble.

Another inseparable pair is art and its audience - so thank you for being here, and giving us the enormous pleasure of being able to share our work.
